Biography

Pathology Associates of Princeton, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice, is privileged to include Elliot A. Krauss, M.D., as a member of its dynamic team. Dr. Krauss has an extensive academic, teaching, and medical professional background.

Dr. Krauss received his Bachelor of Arts degree in general science from the University of Rochester in New York, graduating with the highest distinction. He went on to receive his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He then began his postgraduate training at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis with an anatomic and clinical pathology residency, followed by a clinical chemistry fellowship.

Upon completion of his postgraduate training, Dr. Krauss began holding key positions in hospitals and universities across the Northeast. He was an assistant professor of pathology and an associate clinical professor of pathology, as well as chief of clinical chemistry and co-director of the pharmacokinetics consultation service at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He also served as medical director of both the Rutgers Community Health Plan Laboratories in New Brunswick, and the Medical Subspecialty Associates Laboratories in Fairlawn, New Jersey. He has also worked with the University Medical Center at Princeton as laboratory director and chairman of the department of pathology. He has held active roles serving on numerous medical boards and committees for hospitals and professional societies, including as president and vice president of the New Jersey Society of Pathologists, and as a member of the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners.

Over the years, Dr. Krauss has developed extensive professional experience. He holds medical research publications and articles in peer-reviewed medical journals as well as numerous abstracts, and oral and poster presentations at professional medical conferences and universities. He is an active member of the College of American Pathologists, and the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Krauss holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, and clinical chemistry.
